Average mortgage rates fell Friday, as predicted, with conventional home loans starting at 3.063% (3.063% APR) for a 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage.
Mortgage rates have fallen by a worthwhile amount over the last week, while dramatic events play-out on the national stage; a breakneck surge of Covid-19 and a lame duck presidency in disarray, including more Covid infections in the White House attributed to Trump’s election watch party.
Still, there’s a good chance we’ll see further modest rate drops next week, though Monday may bring a small rise. But all this assumes no unforeseen international events that might change the general outlook.
